Overview

The 3rd Grade League is for children in 3rd Grade during the 2019/2020 academic school year.

Teams at this age group are formed based on an evaluation process to create balanced teams selected by coaches based on their results.

Each player will be assigned a 1.5-hour time slot and be evaluated on the following:

  • Hitting (batting cage)
  • Throwing/Pitching/Catching
  • Fielding (infield and outfield)

Evaluations will be conducted by 3rd grade coaches who have registered for the upcoming season. After the evaluation process has been completed, head coaches will be assigned and teams formed based on the player ratings during evaluations. Best efforts will be made for all teams within the 3rd grade league to be balanced.

No "play with" or "coach" requests will be allowed.

Equipment

Players are required to have their own baseball glove, baseball pants and shoes (cleats).  They will be provided a team jersey and hat.  We suggest Grey baseball pants.  Many players like to have their own bat (see bat requirements above) and helmet, however team coaches are issued bats and helmets that kids can share so they are not required.
